Day 6

Deuteronomy 10:17–21
17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.18 He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.19 Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.20 You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.21 He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen.

Reflection:
What a profound reminder—do we truly know what kind of God our Lord is? The more we know Him, the more we will fear Him; the more we experience Him, the more we will give thanks to Him. For God’s power and justice inspire reverent fear, while His love and mercy stir our hearts to gratitude. “Reverence and thanksgiving” are the roots of serving and clinging to Him, and “loving the sojourner” is the fruit that naturally flows from a life devoted to Him.

17 因為耶和華你們的 神祂是萬神之神，萬主之主，至大的神，大有能力，大而可畏，不以貌取人，也不受賄賂。 18 祂為孤兒寡婦申冤，又憐愛寄居的，賜給他衣食。 19 所以你們要憐愛寄居的，因為你們在埃及地也做過寄居的。 20 你要敬畏耶和華你的 神，侍奉祂，專靠祂，也要指著祂的名起誓。 21 祂是你所讚美的，是你的神，為你做了那大而可畏的事，是你親眼所看見的。

心得分享:何等偉大的提醒，要認識我們的 神是怎樣的一位神？越認識祂，就會越發敬畏祂；越經歷祂，就會越發感謝祂。因為 神的權能與公義叫人敬畏，神的慈愛與憐憫叫人感恩。『敬畏與感恩』是我們侍奉祂，專靠祂的根；『憐愛寄居的』就是我們侍奉祂，專靠祂的恩果。
