Day 20 Psalm 138:1-3, 7 The Lord’s Goodness to the Faithful
（Memorization Scripture: v. 2）
1 I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
2 I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your loving kindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
[Sharing] David is perhaps one of the greatest examples of the victories and failures possible in a human’s life. Many of his trials and struggles were either directly or indirectly caused by his own actions. And yet through every situation he desired to overcome his brokenness and to trust in the provision of the Lord. The sins and victories of his life may seem a bit exaggerated compared to our own lives, but his faith is something that we should strive for in everything we do. Trusting and remaining close to God through every hardship, aggression, and failing is what leads us to the holiness that we seek. It is when we try to succeed on our own that we fail. David demonstrates that fact perfectly. But when we remain in God's hands, we find his mercy, grace, and provision. Today, don’t live apart from our Lord, God, and Savior. Welcome him in for a day of thanksgiving.
