Deuteronomy 7:6-9

6 “For you are a [a]holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. ...8 but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of [b]bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

6 . . . 耶和華－你 神從地上的萬民中揀選你，特作自己的子民。 . . . 8 只因耶和華愛你們，又因要守祂向你們列祖所起的誓，就用大能的手領你們出來，從為奴之家救贖你們脫離埃及王法老的手。 9 所以，你要知道耶和華－你的 神，祂是 神，是信實的 神；向愛祂、守祂誡命的人守約，施慈愛，直到千代。（申7:6-9）
